Hajia Abibata Shanni Mahama Zakariah, the CEO of Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), has described as a deliberate twisting and slanting an interview she granted recently to the Gbewa Show on NTV, based in Tamale.
According to Hajia Abibata Shanni Mahama Zakariah, a publication in the DAILY GUIDE of January 24, 2024 was misrepresented.
In a statement to the media, Hajia Abibata explained that the issue of her contest in the Yendi Parliamentary primaries came up during an interview with the media. During the said interview, she proceeded to enumerate some of the developmental issues she has brought to the Yendi constituency over the years and pledged to continue her services to the people.
The MASLOC CEO, wonders why a pledge to continue her good works could be deliberately presented as a campaign.
“The time has not yet come for Parliamentary contests and it will be preposterous for anyone or media to come to this conclusion in any form or shape at this time,” Hajia Abibata stated.
