Kwasi Bonsu after he was saved from the angry mob
A 20 YEAR old lady has been brutally murdered by her boyfriend, who accused her of cheating.
The sad incident occurred at Parkoso Estate in the Asokore Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
The deceased, identified as Samira, a resident of Plaza in Dichemso, a suburb of Kumasi, had visited her boyfriend but her body was found on Monday.
According to police report, the body of Samira, who was described as fair in complexion, was found lying behind the house of her boyfriend, Kwasi Bonsu, 26.
There were visible marks on the body showing brutal assault and the head had also been smashed with huge concrete block.
A police report seen by the DAILY GUIDE said Kwasi Bonsu, said to be an ex-convict, was nearly lynched by angry mob at Parkoso Estate but he was saved by the police and sent to custody.
“On 13/12/21 at 12:10pm, Police Parkoso had information that someone has murdered his girlfriend and the suspect is being lynched at Parkoso Estate. Police proceeded to the scene and found the body of a woman aged about 20, with pieces of blocks covering the head, lying dead in a prone position in front of a house.”
The report said “suspect Kwasi Bonsu age 26, who was earlier rescued and badly injured was also rushed to Manhyia Government Hospital for treatment.”
It said the suspect gave the name of deceased as Samira from Plaza and claimed she was his girlfriend, adding that Kwasi Bonsu accused the deceased of being unfaithful to him.
The suspect, was subsequently treated and discharged from the hospital and he is in police custody, assisting in their investigations.
