Joy FM Hosts Hiplife Party

Accra-based radio station, Joy FM, last Saturday turned the entire Accra Metropolis upside-down with its annual event dubbed ‘Hiplife Party’, held at the Silver Star Towers in Accra.

The event which kicked off on a promising note was all about remembering the good old days of hiplife and the forms of music that shaped the genre into what it was today.

The hiplife party witnessed performances from stars like Praye, Akatakyie, Reggie Rockstone and his VVIP, among others.

An ecstatic crowd, made up of hundreds of hiplife music lovers, thronged the Silver Towers to partake in the event.

It was a huge party and music fans boogied the night away amid loud cheers and applause.

All the artistes who performed at the event were dynamic on stage. They thrilled their various fans to their satisfaction.

The performance of Reggie Rockstone and the VVIP on stage attracted the attention of all the music fans present, especially the ladies, who remained on their feet dancing.

Praye and Akatakyie also put up a spirited performance, performing back-to-back of their hit songs.

Reggie Rockstone was honoured at the event for his contribution to the growth of hiplife music in Ghana.

Africa’s best DJ, DJ Black, and his team Andy Dosty and DJ Wobete also took the patrons back to the roots as they sang and danced to the songs.
