She won her prize after receiving a money transfer via moneygram at the UBA Tanoso branch in Kumasi, capital of the Ashanti Region. Her prize brings to two, the number of people that have won cars since the promotion started.

The Moneygram Ghana at 60 Promotion was started on March 1, 2017 and it is expected to end on June 30, this year. By the end of the promotion, six cars and 200 consolation prizes would have been given out to people for free.

As part of the promotion, anybody that receives money transfer through Moneygram from any of the Moneygram partnered banks in the country would be given a scratch card and they would be presented with any item on the card after they had scratched it.

During the Friday event, five lucky people who received monies through Moneygram at the Tanoso branch of the UBA won different prizes with the lecturer taking home the ultimate prize, which is the beautiful car.

The other winners who took home consolation prizes such as Symbol Electronic Grills on the day include Bawa Abubakari, Veronica Adjei Sarpong, Vida Addai and Janet Yaa Achia.

Mr. Ato Baiden, a representative of Moneygram, who was present at the historic function, stated that Moneygram has introduced the promotion, ostensibly, to reward their loyal customers as part of Ghana’s 60 years anniversary.

He disclosed that Love Oduro won the first car at the ADB Nungua branch in Accra, adding that six cars in total and 200 consolation prizes would be presented freely to lucky Moneygram customers during the promotion.

Daniel Kofi Boamah, the UBA branch manager at Tanoso, congratulated the winners and urged residents in the city to receive their Moneygram transfers through his bank, stating that “My bank is a lucky bank so do business with us and win in the Moneygram promotion”.

Winniefred Koranteng Darkwa, who was beaming with broad smiles after winning the car, stated that the Moneygram Ghana at 60 promotion is real, urging the public to do business with Moneygram so that they can also benefit from the promotion.
