FOUR STUDENTS of Lincoln Community School have presented football equipment worth thousands of cedis to the Kanda Cluster of Schools in Accra.

The items included footballs, goal posts, cones, bibs, captain’s armbands, and a giant trophy.

Leader of the delegation, Anesu Mugodi, prior to the presentation, told journalists, “As part of our curriculum, we do a service project in our final two years of high school. My friends and I – Lucas, Kabelo, Jeffery and Joe are sports fans who have have spent a few months raising funds for this event. We hope this will be of great use for this community as we pray for great players and scholars will come from this community.”

Alhassan Mohammed Amin, School Improvement Support Officer for Kanda, expressed thanks to the donors for the gesture and promised to put it to good use.

A special match involving Kanda AMA Basic and Kanda 3&5 Basic crowned the special presentation ceremony. Kanda AMA emerged winners after posting a 5-3 win over Kanda 3&5 on penalties after a 1-1 drawn game.
