Rev Dr Harry Insaidoo
The Senior Pastor of North Kaneshie Assemblies of God Church, Rev Dr Harry Insaidoo, has advised pastors and Christians against living lives that are contrary to what the Bible prescribes.
He explained that there was the need for pastors to re-commit themselves to the core values of their calling as they seek to preach the gospel.
Speaking at a press conference recently in Accra, preceding the launch come Saturday, June 24, of some two books he has authored, Rev Insaidoo said most pastors had missed their calling.
He said it was for this reason that most of them were now busily chasing wealth and mundane fame instead of following Jesus Christ.
In his two books ‘Man With a Vision’ and ‘The Poison of Unforgiveness’, Dr Harry recounts how during his fifty years in the ministry, he celebrated success, overcame failures, disunity, division and inequality as he sought to accomplish his God-given mission.
According to him, he had not only evangelized but had also trained men and women of God to promulgate the Kingdom of God through social activities aimed at caring for the needy both in the church and the community.
Recounting the motivation for writing the books, Rev Insaidoo said some life events including the death of his wife and daughter, the loss of his house to fire, and God’s inexplicable protection so far made him decide to encourage other men of God and Christians who were undergoing such trials.
“We must always realise that when we forgo all these material things i.e. money, wealth, fame and concentrate more on God, there is nothing that He cannot do.”
When asked about what the Senior Pastors were doing to check some of the quark and fake pastors as well as the fake prophecies they were spewing out to unsuspecting members of society, he noted that most of them were not members of either the Christian Council, the Bible Society or the various gazetted religious bodies hence such attitude.
