Massive Turnout At Kloyosikplemi Festival

The chiefs, queen mothers and people of Yilo State in the Eastern Region, in collaboration with the Local Council of Churches, have held the 25th edition of their annual Kloyosikplemi festival with a three-day crusade dubbed ‘The Kings Praise Crusade’.

Held at the Akutunya lorry station at Somanya, the crusade brought together the six prominent divisions of Yilo State and members of the various churches.

Rev Lawrence Amatei, a member of the festival planning committee, explained that Kloyosikplemi festival is celebrated to commemorate the sufferings and struggles which were endured by their forefathers under the British colonial government.

The crusade was organised as a platform for the people of Yilo State to strengthen their relationship with the Almighty God and to express appreciation for a successful year.

Rev Chris Baah Nartey, Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Apostle Peter Oko Mankralo, President, Apostolic Church, Ghana and Apostle Emmanuel Sackey, Revival Harvest Ministry, Somanya are the main speakers for the event.

The gospel artistes include Minister Wodi Felix, Vivian Dapaah, Esther Mawunyega, Emmanuel N. Adade, among others.

There will also be activities such as inter-school competition, health screening, cultural exhibition and a visit to their ancestral home (Klowem).
