Highly-placed security sources claim that though SaCut Amenga-Etego was initially picked up Thursday on suspicion of filming national security operatives outside a court, a search on his phone without warrant allegedly revealed footage of the security personnel and a court proceedings, based on which the operatives took him to the said court to inform the Judge who allegedly ordered for his detention.
Details on the alleged claim from SaCut aren’t available as yet, as his lawyer, Victor Kwadjoga Adawudu, was yesterday (Saturday) refused access to him at the Greater Accra Regional BNI Office, where he eventually tracked him being held at.
State security officials formally informed the lawyer he couldn’t have access to his client because officers processing him weren’t available.
Lawyer Adawudu is expected to meet SaCut tomorrow, (Monday).
Meantime, Government is likely to issue a statement on the matter following my earlier post on the matter on social media this morning.
