Musicians Urged To Support Each Other

Sarah Sings

US-based Ghanaian gospel artiste and songwriter, Sarah Owusu-Asante, known in the gospel music circles as Sarah Sings, has urged Ghanaian musicians both home and abroad to support each other in order to move the local music industry forward.

The gospel musician, with international recognition, believes that the only way Ghanaian musicians can reach the international level is to accept the unity of purpose and work together.

She added that if Ghanaian musicians want to rub shoulders with other emerging music markets on the continent, industry players would have to support each other to become stronger and more competitive.

In an interview with KMJ on Hitz FM’s Day Break Hitz, Sarah Sings said those in the industry should lift each other by providing the needed support to their colleagues, as other musicians in the diaspora do.

The US-based musician stressed that collaboration is one of the biggest creative forces driving music today, adding that if you’re an independent act looking to project your talents onto a wider audience, it’s probably one the best success strategies out there.

According to Serah Sings, the beauty of collaborations is to promote each other to your fans, whilst also inspiring each other with your creativity and ideas at the same time.

She, however, admonished believers and everyone around the world to allow God into their lives since He is reaching out to us.

Sarah Sings serves as an international worship leader at Life Chapel International, USA, and has ministered at services and conventions all over the United States and the Caribbean, with her pastor and mentor, Prophet Richard Owusu.

Sarah is greatly motivated with the desire to see her songs and ministrations inspire the Body of Christ, and the whole world to worship God, be lifted, healed, and filled with the Glory of God through her music.

Everything she sings about is something she has personally experienced; every lyric is born out of her soul and her spirit.
