Felix Kwakye Ofosu
Felix Kwakye Ofosu, one of the official aides of former President John Mahama, and NDC parliamentary candidate for Abura Asebu Kwamankese (AAK) in the Central Region, has been caught in a ‘politics and sex’ scandal, but he has since put up a vehement denial.
The former Deputy Information Minister under Mr. Mahama has been captured in a video in the room of a lady, and his accusers are claiming that he is having amorous relationship with the said lady whom they claim is getting married to their brother.
It is unclear when the video which captures Mr. Ofosu in an NDC branded T-shirt, was filmed, but some say the incident happened in August last year.
Felix, whose political opponents have nicknamed him ‘Abakrampa Goebbels’ because of how he does propaganda like Hitler’s Nazi Propaganda Chief, Josef Goebbels, said he had nothing to do with the lady.
He has admitted being in that house, but said he was there because he kept campaign stuff at the house and was there for it.
The man who recorded the video was heard saying the lady and his brother, who he said was domiciled abroad, had made arrangements to marry, but Mr. Ofosu had been sneaking in at odd hours to meet the lady in his brother’s room.
A woman in a yellow dress even dramatically invoked curses with a glass of water to stress her position that she saw Mr. Ofosu and the lady in the room.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ofosu spent a great portion of yesterday vehemently stressing his denials.
He explained that he only went to the lady’s house to pick items he had kept with her only to find two ladies and a guy in the house accusing him of having an amorous affair with the lady who was not married.
Despite admitting he was at the lady’s residence, he insisted that he had “absolutely nothing to do with her,” adding “I kept the items for my primaries at the lady’s house.”
He said, “Some hospital beds and 1,200 pieces of cloths. I didn’t have space at my place. I had gone for it at dawn on my way to the constituency and two women came there with a guy saying I had something to do with the lady. I had absolutely nothing to do with her.”
As deputy minister, Mr. Ofosu, although not a medical doctor, could sit on national television and declare that then NPP candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo (now President), “is suffering from three serious ailments :prostate cancer, what they call acute kidney injury and a blockage in his coronary artery.”
