THE NEW Patriotic Party (NPP) Youth Wings in the Ahafo and Western North regions have taken delivery of brand new laptops and motorbikes as part of efforts to equip constituencies that do not have representation in Parliament.
The ‘Orphan Constituency Project’ is an initiative being spearheaded by the party’s National Youth Organizer, Lawyer Henry Nana Boakye, aka Nana B, to ensure the party is energized, retooled and re-oriented ahead of the 2020 general election.
They are particularly targeting the party’s tertiary wing, TESCON, in the effort towards victory in 2020.
Since the inception of the programme, several NPP youth wings across the country have been given logistics to work assiduously for the party.
At a presentation ceremony at Hwidiem in the Ahafo Region, Nana B stated emphatically that the NPP youth wing would spearhead the campaign for victory 2020 for the ruling political party.
He charged the NPP youth wings to uphold hard work and be committed to the cause of the party. He further urged them to avoid any form of complacency in the campaign.
According to Nana B, the NPP National Youth Wing, led by him, is ready to supply all the materials that the youth wings would need so that they could go all out and campaign.
The NPP National Youth Organizer, therefore, called on them to avoid personalizing issues and concentrate on matters that promote national development.
He said the youth should persistently explain to the public the good intentions and the numerous works being done by the Akufo-Addo government.
Besides, he asked them to be prepared to explain any misinformation of their opponents to the people.
Nana B later supervised an orientation session for TESCON executives in the Ahafo and Western North regions.
