Mishael Akpabio and Claire Staal cutting the tape to officially open Homeshoppa
Homeshoppa, an online grocery supermarket, is the latest platform to be introduced into the e-commerce space in Ghana at a colourful event in Accra.
The unveiling of Homeshoppa comes at time when many people in Ghana are rapidly embracing the e-commerce concept.
Many people are currently using the internet and online market space.
Speaking at the launch, which took place at the Urbano Hotel, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Homeshoppa, Claire Staal, explained that with the emergence of Homeshoppa, Ghanaians and expatriates in the country can avoid the hustle of shopping for groceries in Accra using a few steps.
She further noted that all orders are delivered to customers at a preferred time and location.
“Because Homeshoppa is online, and it does not need a physical shop, the prices for the groceries can be kept lower than the actual supermarkets,” she added.
She added that “many online portals have attempted offering solutions to shoppers in Ghana, the majority of them are no more.
“There will be no need to say, watch out for Homeshoppa, because you will find it everywhere you go. We are here to stay.”
Mishael Akpabio, the Country Manager of Homeshoppa, emphasized that Homeshoppa was introduced to conveniently bring fresh, healthy and quality groceries at affordable prices to everyone in the country.
Prospective customers can get started with Homeshoppa by simply visiting the website at www.homeshoppa.com, creating a member account and shopping for grocery.
