Patapaa
Agona Swedru-based hiplife artiste, Patapaa, has rejected GH¢1,000 from the organisers of the Radio and Television Personality (RTP) Awards to perform at the event slated for October 28.
In an interview with Prince Tsegah on Hitz FM, the manager of the artiste, Godfred Bokpin, disclosed that the RTP organisers offered his artiste GH¢1,000 to perform at the event, but they rejected it because it was meagre an amount for a brand like Patapaa.
The manager, who was reacting to claims that the young artiste will be performing at the awards ceremony, admitted that though he was contacted by the event organisers, no performance agreement was signed between his management team and that of the organisers.
The ‘One Corner’ hitmaker on September 30 thrilled patrons at Ashaiman at a concert dubbed ‘Ashaiman To The World’ concert, organised by dancehall artiste Stonebwoy.
The Swedru-based hiplife artiste got fans at the concert into the ‘one corner dance’ with his energetic performance of the fast-paced song.
His performance drove hundreds of music fans present at the show to display their own ‘one corner’ dance moves.
‘One Corner’ by Patapaa is undoubtedly the biggest song currently in clubs and on the streets.
