Music icon, Rocky Dawuni has extended his warmest gratitude to all the amazing people who worked and supported his EP titled, “Voice of Bunbon Vol.1” which has earned him a spot on the nominations list of the 2022 Grammy Awards show.
On Tuesday the Recording Academy announced nominations for the 64th edition of the Grammy awards via a live streaming event from Grammy Museum in Los Angeles and Rocky was among the top world musicians who made the nomination list.
His EP has been nominated in the Best Global Music Album category of the award show. It is competing with works of other international acts like Daniel Ho & Friends, Angelique Kidjo, Femi Kuti, and Wizkid.
It is also Rocky’s second Grammy nomination after his sixth studio album titled Branches of The Same Tree was nominated for Grammy Best Reggae Album in December 2015 for the 58th Annual Grammy Awards.
On Wednesday, a day after the announcement he took to his social media platforms to congratulate all who supported him and major thumps up to all who directly and indirectly, worked on the EP.
“Yea my people we did it again. Another #GRAMMY nomination for “Voice Of Bunbon, Vol. 1”. The EP has been nominated for “Best Global Music Album” at the 64th Grammy Awards @recordingacademy. Big thanks to all those who worked and supported this important work to achieve this recognition. Keep streaming and sharing the album and let’s go Ghana,” he wrote in an Instagram post.
