Vivo Energy Ghana PLC, Shell’s licensee in Ghana, has launched an all-new and improved range of Shell Fuels, introducing fuel technology that sets a new benchmark for performance and efficiency in the country’s downstream energy sector.
Managing Director of Vivo Energy Ghana, Christian Li, revealed that the newly launched Shell FuelSave features next-generation deposit-targeting technology designed to reduce energy losses in engines and enhance overall efficiency.
Speaking to journalists at the launch ceremony, Mr. Li added that the improved Shell V-Power Unleashed offers Shell’s highest level of 100% engine protection.
“The new and improved Shell Fuels reflect our dedication to performance, efficiency and continuous improvement. This launch reaffirms our commitment to innovation, customer value and leadership in Ghana’s downstream energy landscape,” he said.
Mr. Li further noted that the company aims to expand its retail network through strategic partnerships, transforming Shell service stations into destinations closer to customers.
“These initiatives reflect Vivo Energy Ghana’s commitment to growing our business in Ghana and becoming your partner of choice. This aligns fully with our value of caring and our vision of becoming the leading and most respected energy business in Africa,” he added.
Frances Kelly, Shell Fuel Scientist at Shell UK, announced that the all-new Shell V-Power provides 100% cleaning of critical engine parts and enhances performance alongside the Shell FuelSave products.
She assured customers that they will notice a difference, noting the new fuel range lasts up to 15 km longer per tank compared with regular fuels, delivering improved fuel economy and better-performing engines.
CEO of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, applauded Shell for its innovation in producing improved fuels that offer customers value and a better experience.
“We want to encourage others in the sector to invest in such innovation. At the NPA, we emphasise safety and quality, and what Shell V-Power represents is quality,” he said.
In a speech, the Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, said Shell’s introduction of new and improved products in Ghana reflects ongoing investments, innovation and a commitment to delivering quality fuel and customer satisfaction.
He commended Shell’s contributions to the growth and competitiveness of the country’s petroleum downstream sector and affirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting initiatives that foster efficiency and sustainability.
