The first-ever Ghana shoemakers trade fair will come off in Accra in November for emerging entrepreneurs in the shoemaking industry.
The fair, according to organisers, will commence a new phase in the history of local brand shoemaking in Ghana.
At a press launch in Accra, Synergia360IMC, an integrated marketing communications and events suite, organisers of the fair, explained that it has packaged the event to increase its relevance to the market.
It will, thereby, be offering optimal brand equity, scalable margin of sale for creative shoemakers and brand adoption as a staple Ghanaian mark of quality, meticulously crafted with contemporary designs confident to last and worth buyers’ spend.
The Creative Director of Synergia360IMC, Obaahemaa Kyeraa, urged shoemaking entrepreneurs to take advantage of the fair in order to outdoor their brand of shoes to a large populace comprising of upwardly mobile, middle and executive demographics whose preference are Ghanaian-made.
The fair seeks to reshape the ingrained perception and apathetic narrative amongst Ghanaians towards Ghanaian-made brands of being sub-standard in comparison to foreign shoe brands.
It will showcase an array of shoes designed such as brogues, loafers, pumps, flats, boots, kids’ shoes and women’s stilettoes uniquely made in Ghana which can rival established international brands.
The fair will demystify the economics of Ghanaian-made shoes as an avalanche to propel the economy by way of creating jobs for well-skilled and trained artisans, whilst growing the economy to approximate an artistic and creative industry.
It will come off on November 3 to November 4 at Seriallo in Osu to celebrate, appreciate Ghanaian ingenuity, innovation and quality-inspired creativity crafted shoes to be worn every day and not on a select day via adoption of the myriad Ghanaian shoe brands.
