Reports reaching DGN Online indicated that a welfare bus belonging to the Ghana Police Service has been involved in an accident leaving six officers injured.
The incident occurred in the Oti Region.
The victims (Police Officers) who were occupants of the bus sustained various degrees of injuries.
The officers were from Dambai on their way to Huhunya, in the Eastern Region for high risk and confidence-building operation training.
Reports said upon reaching a section of the road at Anfoega, the vehicle ran into a ditch when the driver tried to avoid a head-on collision with a vehicle that has stopped abruptly on the road.
The accident caused some damage on the welfare bus as well as a commercial Hyundai grace bus.
Meanwhile, the injured officers were rushed to Anfoega Roman Catholic hospital for treatment.
