DR. MAHAMADU Bawumia’s hopes of winning the next presidential polls on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been given a massive lifeline.

The Paramount Chief of Tepa, Nana Adusei Atwenewaa Ampem, has presented a special cloth to Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, aka ‘Napo’, the NPP running mate.

The revered traditional leader, after the presentation, asked Dr. Opoku Prempeh to dress in that special cloth to his palace when he becomes the Vice President in 2025.

“I’m presenting this special and beautiful cloth to you and a sheep. Wear this cloth to my palace in Tepa when you become Vice President,” the Tepahene informed Napo.

The special presentation from the Tepa overlord to Napo was met with spontaneous applause from the excited crowd that had converged at the Tepahene’s palace.

The occasion was when Napo, who is currently in the Ashanti Region on a campaign tour, visited the Tepahene’s palace on Wednesday morning with his campaign team.

Nana Adusei Atwenewaa Ampem also lauded Napo for his numerous generous acts and encouraged him to continue to offer support to those who reache out to him for help.

According to him, mankind should be each other’s keeper to help ensure proper development, noting that Napo has consistently displayed signs of generosity to people.

He admonished people, who are lucky to be in leadership positions, to always have the passion to serve their people and also work to expedite the growth of the country.

The Tepahene also expressed concern about the seeming neglect of chiefs in key decision making in the development of the state and called for a change.

Napo, who was excited after receiving the special cloth, wholeheartedly thanked the Tepa Paramount Chief and said Dr. Bawumia’s government, will address concerns of chiefs.
