John Mahama
I don’t think Mr. Mahama has ever taken time to find the real meaning of shame in his dictionary. I will not blame him if he hasn’t because in his lust for political power he continues to step on chameleon feaces and in such a circumstance, cleaning it becomes impossible. So every day as he goes about goofing and making a mess of himself, he gives cylinders for his political enemies to discharge fire.
There is this friend who asked me when I will ever stop chastising the ex- President. I told him I will stop if the ex-President realizes how shameless it is to lick back what he spat out sometime ago. I wonder whether his handlers do advise him against the way he continuous to goof. The man doesn’t fear to lie to the people of Ghana and that is political suicide in this computer age where even the JHS student can easily search Google to find the meaning of every word. Mr. Mahama has chosen the path of shamelessly reversing without looking back. He always slips, falls down and foolishly walks the same slippery road without watching out for a possible slip. It was Mr. Mahama who looked into the lean and worrisome faces of trainee nurses and teachers and told them without pity that he will not pay them any allowances. He went further to say that if his refusal not to pay them the allowance meant they would not vote for him, they should go ahead to do so. The trainee teachers and nurses went ahead and voted against him during the 2016 election.
Mahama was so shocked that he immediately started growing lean when it dawned on him that he had lost the elections. “Who say man no dey!” In the case of candidate Akufo-Addo he saw no reason why he could not pay the allowances when he had promised a free SHS; and so he promised to pay the allowances and he went ahead to keep his promise. That is why the man is a darling boy to teacher trainees and nursing trainees in Ghana. And did I hear Mr. Mahama telling his gullible supporters during his campaign tour of the Bono East Region that the he would double the allowances of the trainee teachers and nurses when voted to power? In other jurisdictions this man will have been taken to a hospital for doctors to check his brain. Haba Mahama!
My dear cherished reader, do you remember Mahama telling us that anyone who uses infrastructure to campaign is embarking on an exercise of mediocrity? Now that he has no message to sell in his campaign tour, the construction of school blocks, chip compounds, hospitals, etc are his messages. Is he embarking on an exercise of mediocrity? You see why the sages say what goes around comes around? He has even promised to build a morgue for our Zongo communities. This man needs the services of an exorcist. In the run up to the 2000 general election, Mr. Kufuor told Ghanaians that the prices of petroleum products were unbearable and that when he came to power he would do something about it. When Kufuor was eventually voted to power, he realized that the situation was not so. The man admitted that really he did not know the situation when he was campaigning and went on to apologize to the good people of Ghana. He begged Ghanaians to give him the opportunity to increase the prices of petroleum products and Ghanaians did so without complaining. We gladly trudged on. Not so with Mr. Mahama. When candidate Akufo-Addo’s free Senior High Senior School mantra started catching up with the people of Ghana, then President and candidate Mahama had ripples on his forehead. He literally became hysterical and went about speaking by heart, as if somebody had stepped on his ‘balls’. Listen to the man in his moment of hatred of the idea mooted out by his political opponent; “Ghana must not introduce free SHS on the whimsical promise of a desperate politician. Many mistakes have been made by many countries already with free SHS.” Splendid!
This time around, listen to the world claimed pathological liar; “NDC government will not only continue and improve the free SHS programme, it will also include all privately owned schools to the scheme.” And you expect me to believe in such a forked tongue politician? Never! The man has no credibility and Ghanaians will be turning back the clock of progress if they put the affairs of this country of thirty million souls once again on the shoulders of this greedy guy. “And you shall be the builders of the mosques not morgues.”
And to pass that the lord God whispered into the ears of John the builder and said among the sons of man, you shall be the one to build the morgues in all the Zongos of Ghana. And so it came to pass that the people of the Zongos in one voice shouted: sacrilegious! Haram! Blasphemy!
Mahama continuous to drink from water hose because he is at the cross roads where the certainty of getting lost is crystal clear. But where is Lordina Mahama, she-who-must-be obeyed? Times have changed. This wife of former President Mahama used to walk tall like a colossus and criss-crossed the country in helicopters, campaigning for her husband and the NDC. Ever since the NDC lost the elections, she has recoiled in her shell. Barely two months to the election and Ghanaians have neither heard from this woman, nor is she imposing a picture seen alongside that of her husband on huge billboards. How time changes!!!
