‘The Pledge’, a film by Cosby Bikpe, will be screened at the Goethe-Institut in Accra as part of its African Perspectives Film series on Thursday, June 7.
An imaginary presentation of political happenings in Ghana, the story line generally entreats politicians and political stakeholders to ensure peaceful, free and fair elections at all times.
Featuring Fred Amugi, Adjetey Annang and Edward Agyekum Kufuor, it also focuses on a fun trip by top politicians discussing issues affecting the country while trying to settle their differences.
Cosby Bikpe, who has over 18 years of television and application experience in Ghana, South Africa and Singapore, is a regular participant of Broadcast Asia Conference since 2010.
With a BFA degree in Film and Television Arts from the National Film and Television Institute in Accra, he began his career as a production assistant and has since worked his way up to producer, director, CTO CEO, founder and co-founder across multiple media and broadcasting organisations, as well as producing local and international content.
A highly analytical and technical individual whose driving force in the perfection of his craft, Cosby Bikpe is fuelled by his fresh and non-traditional approach to multimedia and technology. He has directed quite a few TV series like ‘Home Sweet Home’, ‘Between the Sheets’, ‘Buddy Language’ and short films like ‘Not My Daughter’ and feature films like ‘The Motherland’ and ‘I Sing of a Well’.
