Amos Donkoh and the honours
The Tema Lube Oil Company Limited (TLOC) was recognized recently as the best lube oil manufacturing company of the year 2019 during a ceremony in Accra.
At the high-notched activity to honour local companies and industries for excellence in various categories, the TLOC’s performance in the production of unrivalled quality lube oil even while adhering to safety, health and environmental maintenance standards were recognized.
The company’s continuous adherence to international standards in quality of its products and the safety of its staff is reflected in its certification by the International Organization of Standards (ISO).
In a post-award remark, the managing director of the company, Amos Donkoh, full of deserving smiles, said “we shall not relent in our efforts to meet the growing standards of our products even as we apply international best practices for the health and safety of our human resource. We shall also continue to do more for the environment in which we operate. The awards would without doubt encourage us to work even harder in fulfilling our mandate of producing products of international quality.”
TLOC was established by the Government of Ghana in 1986 for the establishment of lubricant blending plant.
It blends lubricants for the major oil marketing companies in the country, its current shareholders being the Social Security & National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) of Ghana, Total Outré Mer SA, Shell & Vivo Lubricants BV, Total (Africa) Limited of France, Ghana Oil Company Limited, Total Petroleum Ghana Limited and ENI International BV.
The fourth edition of the awards activities for manufacturing companies was organized by Xodus Communication.
Other companies which were recognized were Entrance Pharmaceutical and Research Centre for excellence in manufacturing; and Fabrimetal Ghana Limited as the emerging brand of the year.
