President Nana Akufo-Addo
President Nana Akufo-Addo has upon the advice of the Prisons Service promoted five Assistants Directors of the Ghana Prisons Service.
Per the promotion, they have been elevated to the positions of Deputy Directors of Prisons (DDP).
ADP Samuel K. Owusu-Amponsah, who is the Second in Command (2IC) at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison in the Eastern Region, has been promoted to DDP Samuel K. Owusu-Amponsah.
ADP Samuel Yaw Tannor, the Second in Command of the Ankaful Maximum Security Prison in the Central Region, has also been promoted.
Another who has been elevated is ADP Patrick K. Mensah Adzah, who is the Officer-In-Charge of the Ankaful Main Camp Prison in the Central Region.
Others are ADP Dominic Nicholas Arthur, the Officer-In-Charge of the Forifori Settlement Camp Prison in the Eastern Region and ADP John Asiedu Benaye, the Officer-In-Charge of the Duayaw Nkwanta Settlement Camp Prison in the Brong Ahafo Region.
A statement signed by Supt. Vitalis Aiyeh, Chief Public Relations Officer Ghana Prisons Service, noted that the promotions took effect from 1st July, 2018.
