Vivian Ankrah Foundation Donates To 37 Military Hospital

The Vivian Ankrah Foundation, a non-governmental organisation which supports accident victims, has made a donation of items worth GH¢6,000 to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.

Presenting the items on behalf of the organisation, Candy Dodoo Ankrah-Bell, the Executive Director of Vivian Ankrah Foundation, stated that the presentation was made to appreciate God and the contribution of the hospital during the travail of the president of the organisation, Vivian Ankrah.

Vivian Ankrah was involved in a terrible accident that claimed some lives about three years ago in the Eastern Region but she survived.

She explained that Vivian Ankrah Foundation was, therefore, established to care for accidents victims.

“Incidentally, the president of this organisation is my biological mother. In a way to give back to society, she established this foundation and today we are presenting a few items to the same hospital where she was treated to support the accident victims currently receiving treatment,” Madam Ankrah-Bell said.

She added that the foundation was established to provide more education through the media and other materials to enlighten the public on the road.

“We are prepared to support the victims in many ways and finally to provide help for victims who by the way of the accidents become disabled, we shall establish small scale businesses for them so as to make them useful for themselves and their families,” Madam Ankrah-Bell added.

She opined that the foundation was collaborating with MTTD of the Ghana Police Service, the Ghana Road Safety Commission and some media houses to further enhance education for road users.

Madam Ankrah-Bell called on government to assist the hospital to ensure accidents victims are treated free of charge before the family would take over the treatment.
