The former Director General urged Ghanaians to resist what she described as “cash for votes” saying that such actions retard the progress of the nation because such politicians will take back any pesewa given out when they are voted into power.
Rev. Afo Blay also urged parents to create an enabling climate in the home which would allow children to contribute to discussions as well as make choices about their future.
The former Director General who was the first female to hold that position in the GES explained that such inputs from children build in them a sense of confidence as they grow up into the future.
The Proprietress of the School, Rev. Mrs. Cecilia Campbell reminded parents of the need to monitor the movements of their children and guide them accordingly with patience and understanding.
Rev. Mrs. Campbell who turned eighty-two years also used the occasion to reward three teachers for what she described as their various degrees of excellent performances in the discharge of their duties.
