The Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), ASP Juliana Obeng, confirmed to DAILY GUIDE that nine suspects were arrested in the region over the weekend.
The army officer was lynched by the mob in the farming community during jogging in the early morning of last week Monday.
He was framed up as an armed robber by a snail seller at the roadside.
Videos of his lynching went viral on social media platforms in which the deceased army officer was heard shouting and declaring his innocence but the mobsters would not listen to him.
At the weekend, nine people, made up of six men and three women, including a 12-year-old boy, were arrested at Manso-Nkwanta in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region on suspicion of murder, ASP Juliana Obeng, told DAILY GUIDE.

ASP Ambrose Aboagye, the Atwima Mponua District Police Commander, also confirmed that one person, Kwame Tufuor, 36, was picked up at Domeabra, near Nyinahin, Sunday morning.
He maintained that another suspect, whose name was given as Kwame Agyei, 40, who was with Tufuor, however, managed to escape, and the police are doing everything possible to arrest him.
The Police PRO indicated that other suspects would be sent to the CID headquarters early this week to assist in investigations.
