Police in the Bono East Region have commenced investigation to unravel the circumstances under which four kids died in the Volta Lake at Konkoma, a community in the Pru East District.
Information available to DGN Online indicates that the boys between the ages of 8-12 had gone missing for days, compelling their relatives to report their disappearance to the Police.
Last Tuesday, police received report that the boys were found in the water.
The bodies of four drowned boys have since been retrieved from the Volta Lake and in decomposing state.
Police in the area have reportedly taken custody of the bodies and deposited at the St. Mathias Hospital for investigation and autopsy.
It is currently unclear what led to the drowning of the kids as there are numerous wild speculations about what might have led to their deaths.
