Actress Beverly Afaglo has reportedly claimed that 80% of veteran actors in Ghana are not receiving roles.
The actress shared her concerns in an Instagram post, reflecting on her personal experiences within the industry.
She stated, “How many of the old faces do you producers and directors cast anyway? 80% ain’t working. What is going on? Shoutout to all the producers holding us down. The industry needs you. Keep going,” as quoted by Adomonline.
Highlighting her own situation, Beverly revealed that she has only been involved in two productions this year. These include ‘Yaa Basabasa’ on YouTube and a movie produced by Steve Ekeso.
The actress expressed her frustration and urged producers to consider her for future projects, emphasising her versatility as an actress.
“I think I am getting bored. I have done only two productions this whole year: ‘Yaa Basabasa’ on YouTube and one movie produced by Steve Ekeso. Where are the producers and directors? Forgotten about me? I’m a versatile actor ooo. I can do it all. Or you say you want new faces? Or you can’t pay me? Try me,” she added.
