Nine companies received awards at the maiden edition of the Ghana Beverage Awards (GBA) held at the Accra City Hotel last week Friday.
Ghana Beverage Awards aims at honoring beverage stakeholders in Ghana for their contributions to the Ghanaian economy.
At the maiden event, Alomo Bitters, from the stables of Kasapreko Company Limited, was adjudged Product of the Year.
RTD of the year went to Orijin RTD; Fruit Juice of the Year went to Blue Skies and Wine of the Year was given to Uncle T Red Wine.
The ceremony was organised by Global Media Alliance under the maiden theme, “Inspiring g Excellence in the Beverage Industry in Ghana.”
Global Media Alliance collaborated with recognized institutions such as the Food Research Institute (FRI), Consumer Protection Agency (CPA), Food and Beverage Association of Ghana (FABAG) and the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA).

Wine of the Year – Uncle T Red Wine – T.T. Brothers Company Limited;
Chocolate/Cocoa/Milk Beverage of the Year – Nestle Milo – Nestle Ghana Limited;
Energy Drink of the Year – Rush Energy Drink – Twellium Industries;
Soft Drink of the Year – Special Ice Range of Soft Drinks – Special Ice Company Limited;
Spirit of the Year – Castle Bridge London Dry Gin – GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited;
Bitters of the year – Kasapreko Alomo Bitters – Kasapreko Company Limited;
Beer of the Year – Guinness Foreign Extra Stout (GGBL);
Water of the Year – Bel Aqua Mineral water – Blow Chem Industries and
Manufacturer of the Year – Kasapreko Company Limited
