This year’s edition of ‘S’ Concert will take place on November 5 at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra, organisers have announced.
Unlike previous ones, this year’s event which is aimed at taking Ghanaian music to another level will shake the foundation of the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium with live performances from award-winning Ghanaian artistes.
This year’s event, according to organisers, is going to be the biggest in the history of show business in Ghana.
The ‘S’ Concert, an initiative of Starr FM, seeks to build solidarity between brands that have their official references beginning with an ‘S’; this includes corporate brands and performing artistes.
Building on from last year, the ‘S’ Concert brand has become entrenched in the minds of music fans as the ultimate musical mega jam.
As such, nothing less than spectacular performances, an electrifying ambiance and an absolutely exciting show can be expected on the night of November 5.
The organisers have assured music fans that ‘S’ Concert this year will be bringing the world class stage of entertainment to Ghana and also give Ghanaians a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the big entertainment shows they only see in other parts of the world right here on Ghanaian soil.
The first edition which took place on December 13, 2014 at Osu-Oxford Street in Accra, organised in collaboration with Graphic Showbiz, brought together five of the nation’s most celebrated dancehall and Afro-pop artistes who gave nothing less than awe-inspiring, diverse, show stopping, hilarious and brilliantly entertaining performances.
The second edition came off on Friday, December 4, 2015. It attracted the biggest crowd to ever grace any event staged in Ghana, and all artistes billed for the show proved their worth on the night.
The crowd in excess of 50,000 covered the entire forecourt of the Trade Fair as they bayed for more after eight hours of non-stop music. Patrons have judged the concert the biggest event of the year.
This year’s edition promises to stage the biggest, ‘baddest’ and most electrifying street concert ever in Ghana.
