GES Congratulates New Director General

Professor Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa

The Management and Staff of Ghana Education Service (GES), has extended their felicitations to Professor Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa on his appointment by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the new Acting Director-General of the Service.

A statement signed by Reverend Jonathan Bettey, the Director, Public Relations and copied to the media said: “We do not only see this appointment by the President of the Republic as a great honour done the learned professor but also as an opportunity for him to showcase his unfettered love for our nation’s education and for the people of Ghana.

“We believe and hope that Professor Opoku-Amankwa’s rich background, experience and competence will be massively alloyed with those of management, teachers, stakeholders and other personnel so as to lift the image of GES higher.

“We, once again, wish Professor Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa, our own academician, lecturer, researcher, consultant, father and friend the best of performance in the Service as he started work on May 15, 2017,” the statement said.
