Hondred Percent To Rock Goethe- Abansuro

Hondred Percent

Hip-hop star and poet, Paul Forjoe Jnr, known in the world music scene as Hondred Percent, will on Wednesday, September 6 perform at the Goethe-Institut as part of a series dubbed ‘Goethe-Abansuro’.

Designed for solo and duet acoustic sessions in a tranquil and comfortable environment, it equally ensures one-on-one interactions and exchanges between artists and the audience.

Hondred Percent is a rising spoken word artist who burst on the scene in 2011, fusing poetry and rap to create hip-hop music. He released his debut hip-hop album titled ‘WTF’ in June this year.

The 2014 and 2015 ‘Ehalakasa’ slam champion, he has been tapping into the essence of Tumi (South Africa), HHP (South Africa) and Bumping To The Roots (USA).

Undeniably, Hondred Percent has made a name for himself as a prolific wordsmith within Ghana. He came up with the name Hondred Percent in 2010 as a way of distinguishing and motivating himself in his passion after his return home from South Africa.

He has since performed at numerous events within Ghana and recently travelled to Kenya to feature as a guest artist during a slam at the Alliance Française in Nairobi.

The event is being organised by the Goethe-Institut.
