DIRECTOR OF Immanuel Restoration School Complex, Rev. Mrs. Cecilia Campbell, has appealed to parents to show keen interest in their wards’ school activities and try to participate in them.

According to her, sustained parental interests and involvement in school activities such as regular attendance at Parent Teacher Association (PTA) meetings motivates children to take their studies very seriously knowing that their parents have interest in what they do at school.

At an end-of-year get-together held at the forecourt of the school located at Abelemkpe, Accra, she said children by nature are very excited when they see their parents at school interacting with their teachers.

Rev. Mrs. Campbell, who is an associate Minister at the Accra Ridge Church and a lawyer by profession, indicated that such discourses, among others, keep parents informed about the performance of their children and school alike.

She however regretted that parents, these days, do not attend PTA meetings or stop by at school to engage teachers on issues that border on the performance of their children.

“Much as it is good to work hard at your respective jobs, I also believe that just a bit of time dedicated to your child is a cost saver for your future and that of the child,” she urged.

Speaking on the theme “Jesus was Humble”, Rev Kofi Ankamah, also of Accra Ridge Church, called on parents to bring up their children in a manner that will make them show humility in their walk through life.

He indicated that humility is a personality trait which makes such persons admirable and accepted as great leaders in society.

Rev. Mrs. Cecilia Campbell told DAILY GUIDE that Immanuel Restoration School Complex whose motto is “Immanuel, God is with us” is established on sound Christian principles to provide sound moral and quality education to pupils.

“I am happy about the team spirit that has characterized members of staff to share in the vision, mission and direction of this school” she remarked.
