Valentina Mintah
FOUNDER OF West Blue Consulting, Valentina Mintah, has been awarded the Woman of Excellence 2019 for her contributions to ICT development in Ghana and Africa at large.
She received the honour at the second Ghana Shippers Awards 2019 held on Friday in Accra.
West Blue Consulting also won the Consultancy Service Provider of the Year and Anas Aremeyaw Anas Transparency Award.
Ms. Mintah expressed appreciation to the organizers of the award for finding her worthy of such prestigious award, pledging to continue her contribution to ICT development in Ghana and beyond.
Ghana Shippers Awards recognises individuals and companies that play a significant role in the growth and development of the industry, while recognizing the key functions within the industry that promote growth and sustainability.
The event brought together stakeholders of the shipping industry including importers and exporters, shipping lines and agents, air cargo carriers, freight forwarders, insurance companies, hauliers, terminal operators and other allied service providers.
Background
Valentina Mintah is an internally recognized expert in ICT, trade facilitation, customs modernization and private sector development, with a strong focus on processes and automation.
She has delivered quality outcomes in challenging circumstances in Europe, Central Asia and Africa. She has experience in running successful programmes in both the public and the private sectors, having worked with organizations including IBM in the EMEA Financial Services Sector and Crown Agents.
Valentina Mintah has also worked with donors and partners including UN, EU, World Bank, IMF, USAID, GIZ and World Customs Organization.
