As part of its social interventions, Miss Ghana Foundation celebrated this year’s Valentine’s Day with children of the NIC Safe Haven Children’s Home, New Legon, Adenta.
The Pre-Valentine’s Day activity saw Miss Ghana 2020, Monique Mawulawe Agbedekpui, and her second runner up Annlisa Anangfio and Miss Ghana 2020 Ahafo Regional Representative, Patience Fafali Bethesda Gagodo donate food items including drinks, candies and toiletries among others to the home.
Mr. Isaac Kojo Yamoah Quainoo, the Head of Projects at Miss Ghana Foundation, said the donation was the organisation’s first project for the year despite COVID-19 and its challenges.
Mr. Quainoo said it was the major priority of the foundation to spend time with the children to put smiles on their faces and to show them much love, stressing that the foundation sought to embark on a lot more projects to change people’s lives and build hopes for deprived people.
He further explained that February is a season of love and every individual as well as groups could choose to celebrate the season in diverse ways, but they decided to spend time with children of the NIC Safe Haven Children’s Home.
Miss Agbedekpui said, “It is a great joy that this programme had been successful, which is ultimately aimed at putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged in this month of love.”
Manager of NIC, Mr. Samuel Kloba, thanked the foundation and called on more philanthropists and other non-governmental organisations (NGO) to support the home.
