Afia Akoto Rallies Support For Bawumia’s Campaign

Mame Afia Akoto, the former Deputy CEO of Masloc, has endorsed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s candidacy, citing his unwavering dedication to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Ghana.

Addressing the NPP Regional Women’s Conference in Akwatia, Mame Afia Akoto praised Dr. Bawumia’s unshakeable commitment to the party, particularly during turbulent times.

“Dr. Bawumia stood by President Akufo-Addo when the going got tough, notably during the 2012 elections petition,” she said, referencing his nickname “Dr. Pink Sheet.”

Mame Afia Akoto emphasized that internal contests are natural, and loyalty to the party supersedes personal interests.

“Globally, economies face challenges, but under Akufo-Addo and Bawumia’s leadership, Ghana remains resilient, keeping most campaign promises,” she noted.

She urged delegates to support Dr. Bawumia, ensuring continuity and progress.

“A vote for Bawumia means sustaining Ghana’s positive trajectory,” Mame Afia Akoto stressed.

Drawing a local analogy, she cautioned against reinstating former leaders whose tenure didn’t yield favorable outcomes.

“It would be a curse to Ghana if we revert to past administrations,” she warned.

Mame Afia Akoto’s passionate appeal resonated with conference attendees, solidifying support for Dr. Bawumia’s leadership.
