Dr. Likee
Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi, professionally known as Dr. Likee, has revealed that he was on the brink of quitting comic skit-making until his encounter with President John Mahama.
Speaking in an interview with Giovanni Caleb on TV3’s Showbiz 360, Dr. Likee disclosed that following his encounter with the President, where he expressed admiration for his comic skits, he was motivated to produce more videos for his online family.
“Before meeting the President, I had made up my mind to quit skit-making, but upon my encounter with him, where the President expressed his love for my work, I was motivated to do more; reason why I’m still producing more comic relief videos,” he stated.
It would be recalled that, a video went viral which captured President Mahama expressing his admiration for Dr. Likee’s comic skit videos, while commending him for his creativity.
During their interaction at the Prempeh International Airport in Kumasi, the comedian further extended a special invitation to the President to attend his play “Akwaaba Vs Obaake.”
