The gruesome murder of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Mfantseman, Ekow Kwansah Hayford, is bringing out a lot of issues, some of which are based on political motivation.
The lawmaker was shot and killed instantly on a road last week, with the initial reports linking the shocking death to a possible robbery case.
But if a video of the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe aka Abronye, is anything to go by, then there may be more to the NPP MP’s death.
Abronye’s Video
In the video recorded six months ago on Net2 Television, Abronye predicted that the NPP could lose some of its key members through shooting, ahead of the December 7 polls.
According to him, the deaths of these top NPP members would create an atmosphere of insecurity and fear and panic in the country, thereby making the government unpopular.
The NDC Factor
Without mincing words, he alleged that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) would be the brain behind the planned attacks.
In the short video, which is now in possession of the DAILY GUIDE, Abronye said the NDC had planned to use such diabolical strategy to discredit the NPP government.
Also, he said the NDC had planned to kill some leading NPP members in order to enhance their (NDC) chances of winning the elections, which is less than two months away.
Abronye’s prediction, which was issued on April 30, 2020, especially regarding how the NPP chieftains would be killed, appears to fit into how the Mfantseman MP was eliminated.
According to him, the NDC would engage the services of some hardened criminals in their party to shoot and kill some prominent people in the NPP ahead of the polls.
More Details
Abronye, in the video, said the NDC had held a series of secret meetings, where they had hatched the ‘wicked’ plan to carry out the killings of some prominent NPP members.
Dressed In NPP Colours
Abronye disclosed that the NDC would, at a point, dress some of their criminals in NPP colours and arm them so they could get access to NPP political rallies.
“During such political rallies, these NDC criminals would shoot and kill their targets in the NPP, especially when such people mount the dais, to address the crowd,” he alleged.
Abronye continued, “Because the killers would be dressed in NPP colours, the news outside would be that an NPP member has shot and killed his own party member at a political rally.”
NDC Information
Abronye claimed that he has direct access to every secret information in the NDC, especially regarding how the NDC was planning to unleash mayhem on the NPP ahead of the polls.
“As for me, when the NDC plans their evil strategies, I will hear every detail of it right in my house in less two hours” adding, “Just yesterday, they (NDC) planned to kill some prominent NPP members and I am privy to every detail of the meeting.”
Queried By Host
At this juncture, the host of The Dialogue Morning Show on NET2 said Abronye was only coming out with mere allegations without any concrete evidence to support it.
Abronye quickly retorted that he is a Presbyterian, so he cannot lie to dent the image of anybody. “This is not mere allegations, National Security I have raised my hands.”
Cautions NPP Members
Abronye, therefore, sternly warned NPP members to be extra vigilant in order not to fall prey to the NDC’s numerous diabolical agenda and appealed passionately to the National Security to sit up in order to foil every ‘wicked’ plan of the NDC to kill some NPP gurus across the country.
Mahama Court Threat
It would be recalled that ex-President Mahama ordered his lawyers to write to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to arrest Abronye after this interview was aired on NET2 TV.
