Ahmadiyya Hospital Gets Endoscopy Dep’t

Alhaji Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih, Ameer and Missionary in-charge of Alhmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana, has commissioned an ultra-modern diagnostic centre for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission Hospital at Daboase in the Wassa East District of the Western Region.

The centre is equipped with endoscopy, x-ray and colposcopy departments to provide the best of medical diagnosis and treatment for residents in the district and beyond.

Endoscopy is a procedure that visualises the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract down to the duodenum, while colposcopy is a medical diagnostic procedure to examine an illuminated, magnified view of the cervix and the tissues of the vagina and vulva.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Alhaji Maulvi Salih stated that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission is ever prepared to provide modern medical equipment and to also expand structures at their hospitals.

He gave the assurance that the newly-inaugurated departments and the equipment would help boost services provided, adding, “We are certainly poised to raise the status of this hospital above the standard of a district hospital.”

Alhaji Maulvi Salih hinted that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission Hospital has experienced growth due to the commitment and affection shown to every medical officer posted to the hospital by the people and traditional authorities in the community.

The administrator in-charge of the hospital, Agbesi Nelson, disclosed that “the model emphasizes the provision of ongoing care to sustain life at the highest quality possible.”

Mr Nelson explained that the provision of such facility is among several initiatives by the head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission of Ghana in equipping and expanding the health facility to provide best quality healthcare service for the people in Wassa East.

Ameer and Missionary in-charge, Health Service Administrator, Dr Ibrahim Muhammad, mentioned that “the moral commitment by staff in ensuring they do the best at any given time for mankind makes the facility an exceptional institution in quality service delivery.”

The District Chief Executive for Wassa East, Wilson Arthur, who spoke on behalf of the Western Regional Minister, assured managers of the hospital of the assembly’s support in advancing and sustaining quality healthcare for the people.
