Alvin Bekoe and Kwame Blay
Western Group, owners of DAILY GUIDE and GUIDE TV, has made new appointments to its management.
Alvin Bekoe has been appointed head of Business Development, Television broadcast.
He is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BBnZ Live advertising firm.
Mr. Bekoe holds LLB in law from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and has been with the Western Group since 2010.
He previously served as Marketing Director.
Mr. Kwame Blay assumes the position of CEO for Western Group to replace Mrs. Gina Blay, now Ghana’s Ambassador to Germany.
Mr Kwame Blay holds degrees in Government and International Relations from the University of Sydney, Australia, and has been the Business Director for the Western Group of Companies since 2009, heading several of the group’s subsidiaries.
DAILY GUIDE, which has been the leader in the industry for over three decades, has Fortune Alimi and Alhaji AR Gomda as Editor and Chief News Editor respectively.
In a related development, Mr. Kwaw Blay has been appointed Managing Director (MD) of Press Xpress Logistics, the group’s transportation, haulage and logistics arm.
Kwaw Blay has an MBA from London School of Business and Finance and LLB in Commercial Law from Hull University, UK.
Mr. Blay worked with the Private Equity Investment Group, TLG Capital, in the UK for over four years before joining Western Group of Companies in Ghana.
