Staff of Asa Savings and Loans with the children at the orphanage
The Bechem Business Centre of Asa Savings and Loans has donated food and Covid-19 relief items to the Mum’s Love Orphanage located at Koforidua, a suburb of Bechem in the Tano South Municipality.
The stuffs, worth GH¢8000, include food items, toiletries, and Covid-19 personal protective equipment meant to assist the children in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking at a brief ceremony to hand over the items, the Goaso Area Manager of Asa Savings and Loans, Emmanuel Opare said the gesture forms part of Asa’s quest to improve livelihood in communities that the company operates.
“This donation is part of our routine corporate social responsibility every year, and this year, we deem it worthy to visit Mum’s Love Orphanage to put smiles on the faces of the children” he said.
Mr Opare called on other organizations to embark on similar programmes in order to contribute positively to the development of Ghana.
Branch Manager of Bechem Business Centre of Asa Savings and Loans, Michael Mensah said Asa Savings and Loans will continue to show concern to people in various communities in which the business operates.
Founder and Director of the Orphanage, Imoro Adams, expressed delight at the gesture from Asa Savings and Loans and assured that the items would be utilized to benefit all children of the home.
“We are grateful to Asa Savings and Loans in Bechem for this impressive gesture and we are truly appreciative of the support” he added.
