Auntie Naa
Host of popular social intervention programme ‘Oyerepa Afutuo’ on Oyerepa FM /TV, Auntie Naa, has raised GH¢409,000 in just two days to support Abigail, a kidney failure patient, to undergo kidney transplant surgery in India.
This impressive fundraising effort took place live on the Oyerepa Afutuo programme, where Auntie Naa’s heartfelt appeals and the generosity of listeners and viewers quickly mobilised the funds.
This donation was made after Abigail and her parents approached the station to support them raise money for surgery in India.
Many have expressed gratitude to Auntie Naa for her efforts in supporting the less privileged in society. On social media, many showered praises on the ‘Oyerepa Afutuo’ host.
Asante Priscilla wrote, “Aww, my fellow Ghanaians, you did this one too. One very thing I admire about Ghanaians, sympathy and empathy. God richly bless and continue to bless all contributors, not forgetting Auntie Naa and her team. I say ayekoo.”
Obaapa Oparebea also wrote, “Wow, when I was watching this programme today, I was crying and l told God l don’t have the funds, but will donate something, so God may your will be done, indeed, God is good. Auntie Naa you are Godsent. l am speechless.”
