Bawumia Supports Catholic Church With 1,000 Bags Of Cement

The Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has presented one thousand bags of cement and a cash of GH¢50,000 to the St. Theresa Catholic Church at Tongo in Upper East Region.

Presenting the items on behalf of the Vice President, the Upper East Regional chairman of NPP, Lawyer Anthony Namoo, said it was to redeem a pledge made by the Vice President about two weeks ago.

He said the church was a pivot point for development adding that the NPP was also a development oriented party and will therefore assist organisations executing development projects.

The Parliamentary Candidate for the Talensi Constituency, Robert Ayinenaba Alibo said it was time to return the good works of the NPP by voting for the party’s candidates in the region.

The Parish Priest of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. James Achaa thanked the chairman and his team for the donation.

He said the multi-purpose parish hall project will continue at a speed the people never dreamed of.

Fr. Achaa said the congregation will always remember Dr. Bawumia and his team in their prayers.

Present at the donation were the DCE for Talensi, Mr. Thomas Doanaab, members of the Parish pastoral council and NPP faithfuls.
