Blay’s Campaign Gathers Momentum

FREDDIE BLAY’S desire to win the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Chairman race seems to be gathering momentum.

As the date for the elections fast approaches, Mr. Blay, who is the current Acting National Chairman of the party, has intensified his campaign.

He is said to have shocked political pundits as he seems to have taken a commanding lead, in terms of proper campaigning.

His nicely printed posters and huge banners are seen in all the ten regions of the country.

Significantly, the posters and banners have been positioned at strategic positions in the various regions to catch the attention of the public, and especially, NPP delegates who will be voting in June to elect the national officers.

In Ashanti Region for instance, Mr. Blay’s posters and banners can be seen at virtually every corner, especially in Kumasi, the regional capital.

Interestingly, Mr. Blay, who is expecting a landslide victory during the party’s polls, is also making huge inroads with his campaign on social media.

In recent times, Mr. Blay’s campaign team has been very visible on all the numerous social media platforms, including Facebook and WhatsApp.

The astute politician’s plans and mechanisms to make the NPP stronger are being shared on the social media to target the youthful delegates.

It will be recalled that Mr. Blay assumed the Acting National Chairman position at the time the then opposition party had been hit by information leakages syndrome.

Key party issues that were discussed at party meetings at the highest level were being leaked to the public, especially the opponents of the NPP.

The constant internal strife was making it look like the party had been destined for defeat during the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections.

But Mr. Blay’s experience came to bear at the time as he managed to calm the raging waters and restored total peace and unity in the party ahead of the polls.

Several members of the NPP across the country, notably the delegates, see him as a unifier and saviour, whose timely intervention helped the NPP to win the 2016 polls.
