Bugri Naabu Fights Regional Minister

Bugri Naabu

The Northern Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Daniel Bugri Naabu, is calling on President Akufo-Addo to immediately dismiss the Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Saeed, and his deputy, Solomon Boar.

According to him, “The regional minister and his deputy are making my work very difficult. They are destroying all the good works we did to secure victory for the party in the 2016 general elections.”

Chairman Bugri threatened to relinquish his position if the minister and his deputy are not dismissed by the president.

“I will pack and come to stay with the president in Accra if he does not take action immediately,” he lamented.

Chairman Bugri expressed concerns about how the minister is running the affairs of the region and feared if not addressed, “we will lose most of our seats we won because they are not politicians.”

He blamed the minister for the rejection of the DCE-nominee for Bunpkurugu-Yunyoo District, J.K Alhassan.

The outspoken Northern regional chairman questioned the availability and accessibility of Salifu Saeed.

He lamented that he had written three letters to the president without any response, adding that he would meet the president in Accra to address the issue.

The assembly members rejected J.K Alhassan, a relative of Chairman Bugri, for the third time.

Salifu Saeed and Solomon Boar have been accused of working against the nominee.
