Chief Executive Officer of Global Ovations, Gideon Raji, has called on Ghanaian businesses to develop targeted innovative strategies to adapt to the ever-changing consumer demands and enhance production and service delivery.
Speaking at the 4th edition of the National Business Honour, themed ‘Driving Growth and Innovation; Empowering Businesses for a Resilient Future in a recovering economy’ Mr. Raji emphasised that innovation is essential for businesses to distinguish themselves from competitors.
“Our economy has faced numerous challenges, yet many businesses continue to thrive. To survive, companies must embrace innovation and create new strategies that attract consumers,” he stated.
Mr. Raji highlighted that effectively meeting customer demands fosters trust, loyalty, and long-term relationships. He urged companies to be responsive to emerging trends such as sustainability, social responsibility, and experiential consumption.
The awards ceremony recognized over 30 individuals across various sectors, including health, science and innovation, ICT, the environment, and agriculture. Notable winners include Yacoba Amuah, Country Manager Inlaks Ghana won the National Business Shero of the Year (IT Services).
Other winners were the Outstanding Innovation in Leadership Award (fintech) – Jephthah Datsomor, CEO Moove Ghana, National Business Icon of the Year (Health care) – Dr. Paul Sekyere Nyantakyi, CEO National Medical Diagnostic Company, Innovation Transformational Leader of the Year – Kwasi Agyeman Busia, CEO Ultimate Steel Manufacturing Company and Outstanding Business leader of the year (Steel Manufacturing) – Mukesh Thakwani, CEO B5 Plus Steel among others.
