Cape Coast Records Bumper Sales

RESIDENTS OF Cape Coast and other parts of the Central Region, over the weekend experienced massive improvement in their businesses.

This pleasant news was made possible because the ruling political party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) members from across Ghana stormed the area.

Cape Coast was the venue of the 2017 annual NPP National Delegates Conference to take stock of the party’s activities.

In this regard, NPP delegates from all the 275 constituencies across the country were in Cape Coast, from Friday to Sunday.

Residents of the Central regional capital and the nearby communities such as Elmina and Anomabu recorded bumper sales during the three days.

Hotels Full

The positive trend started with managers of hotels in the region, being the first to benefit from the conference.  All the hotels were booked and some of the NPP delegates were even compelled to stay in school hostels during the three days.

Some of the hotel owners that DAILY GUIDE interviewed could not hide their joy, as they demanded more NPP programmes in the area.

They said booking of their hotels started a month earlier before the conference.

Drinking Spots

Operators of drinking spots were not left out of the bumper sales as merry-makers constantly queued for hours to buy their drinks.

Unconfirmed reports indicated that prices of some of the drinks were even increased due to the high demand but that did not affect patronage.

Car Operators

The paper also learnt that drivers, especially taxi drivers, also reaped bountifully from the event.

Food Joints

Operators of food joints were not left out. The joints were filled and overflowing putting a lot of smiles on their face. They prayed for more NPP programs in the area.
