Clem Ohameze
Veteran Nollywood actor Clem Ohameze has vowed to take legal action against a Facebook user identified as Okwulora for spreading false claims about his health and family.
The social media user alleged that the actor had suffered a stroke and was abandoned by his sons, leaving his daughter to care for him.
Reacting in a tearful video, Clem Ohameze categorically denied the story, stressing that he does not have three sons and has never granted any interview making such claims. He expressed frustration over the constant circulation of false reports about his health, which he said had caused needless distress to his family.
He confirmed that legal steps had been initiated against Okwulora, describing the rumours as cybercrime aimed at damaging his reputation.
“If you want cheap popularity, go get it somewhere else. I will not allow anyone to tarnish my image because you want traffic on your page. The other time they said I was dead, now it’s that I had a stroke. Who did I grant such an interview to? Do I even have three sons? What nonsense is this?” he lamented.
The actor revealed he had reported the matter to security authorities, including the Department of State Services (DSS) and the police, to ensure the culprit is held accountable.
