Dada KD, born Daniel Kofi Dadzie, passed away on May 16, 2025, just days before a scheduled London concert with Obrafour, Slim Buster, and Kojo Blakk. His untimely death sent shockwaves across Ghana and beyond, silencing a voice that had defined an era of Highlife music.
Saturday’s funeral followed a well-attended one-week observance in June at the East Legon Executive Club House. After the State House service, the late musician’s remains were transported to his hometown, Kwadaso in the Ashanti Region, where he was finally laid to rest.
