A cross-section of the children at the event
Jesus Christ Ministries and Hernando Bible Studies in Florida, USA, in collaboration with their local partners in Ghana, have organized an end-of-year party for over 100 children at Frafraha in Accra.
The children were also given school bags, books, water bottles, clothes, among others.
Speaking at the ceremony, Pastor Bright Adoboe, Executive Director of Freedom Aid Ghana (FAG), a representative of the international donors in the country, stated that the party was organized to bring the children in the community together.
He said the event was under the sponsorship of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Potakey and Minister Melinda Hunnicutt to express love to the children, particularly in the yuletide.
The Freedom Aid Executive Director was however optimistic the next event would be organized on a grand scale to fete more children in the coming years.
The children took part in spelling and dancing competitions, as well as mathematical quiz at the event.
