Dreamland To Honour Otumfuo

Dreamland Sports Plus, a renowned sports event organizers are on the verge of putting together a program to honour the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, in a special program this year.

The special Awards Gala is in honour of Otumfuo’s immense contribution (sponsorship/assistance) to sports in the country as well as to mark his 68th birthday  celebration.

CEO of Dreamland Sports Plus, Emmanuel Ollabode Williams,  has stated in a press conference in Accra that  the awards would be in five categories, comprising-the flagship award for his Royal Majesty, 68 stakeholders’ Awards, 68 media personnel Awards, 68 competitions’ Awards and 68 Corporate Institution’s Awards.

He stated that the awards go to recognize various personalities and institutions for their efforts in the promotion of sports and tourism in Ghana.

The Dreamland CEO said “The Asantehene has not only made Ghana proud internationally but has reaffirmed the Asante ingdom’s position as one of the greatest in Africa; citing  the rich display of traditional Ghanaian culture and royal regalia  at the recent burial of the Asante queen mother as a classical example. His achievements regarding sports is immeasurable.”

The Award which would be unveiled soon has received support from experienced Technical men such as Saka Acquaye, Deputy Director General ( Technical ) of the National Sports Authority,  Emmanuel Domenya, Director of National  Schools  Sports Programmes at the Ghana Education Service and capable staff which includes Mr. S. B. Macauley and Kofi Sarpong Boateng, immediate past Regional P.E official.

Dreamland Sports Plus are organizers of Boot to Books Sports Festival, National 30km Road Baton Relay, Cheetah Ghana and Strength Challenge.
